Superhuman
Or at least I should be, I guess. I think schools forget we’re human sometimes. Besides the outrageous courseloads that are obvious attempts at weeding out unwitting freshmen, and are there only to torture upper classmen. The root of all this begins with attendance policies, something that should NOT eist in college anyway. If you can skip class and still pass, God bless you ( I skipped 90% of Calc 2 and made a C, what ). Sooooo, if you’re in a class with an attendance policy, you need a doctors note if you’re sick. Who goes to the doctor for the common cold, really? And you need to see the doctor, because you won’t get a note if you don’t. If you have a quiz or a hw assignment due, you can’t make it up, even if you DO have a doctors note. So I guess you have to drag yourself to class and cough and sneeze phlem all over your fellow classmen in order to make the grade, all whilst unable to focus because your head feels like a balloon. This is what happened to me today, I missed classes because of a cold, and one of those had a quiz. Now I have a zero on a quiz, and I wasted mine and my doctors time by going to the doctor ( she agreed on that ). All of this could be eleminated if THERE WEREN’T ATTENDANCE POLICIES IN COLLEGE. THEY-SHOULD-NOT-EXIST- period.
